Using Twitter Cards with your Ghost blog allows you to create a more descriptive, media-rich tweet for your blog content. This guide will walk you through how to setup Twitter Cards with Ghost.
Validate and preview your twitter card
To begin, go to the Twitter Card Validator. If you are not already signed in to your Twitter account, you will be directed to do so. Once logged in, and on the validator page, type in the URL of a post on your blog into the "Card URL" field.
Next, click on the "Preview card" button. This will generate a preview of your Twitter Card and display the different meta tags included with your blog post.
Once your card preview has been generated, you will be prompted to fill out a form that asks for a few basic pieces of information (i.e. your website, a description of your website, your Twitter handle and your email address). This form will register your domain and set you up as the main contact for administering cards on your Ghost blog.
Wait for approval
Once you have requested approval and opted-in to having cards displayed, Twitter has to approve the integration. Once approved, you'll get an email confirming that your request has been activated and the next time you share your link it should display a shiny new Twitter Card.
